  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 large yellow onion finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.5 tsp dried ginger
  • 1 can tomato sauce 15oz can
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp garam masala
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 0.25 cup fresh cilantro chopped, optional

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a mixing bowl, stir together the onion, garlic, ginger, tomato sauce, heavy cream, butter, garam masala, paprika, turmeric, cumin, salt and cayenne pepper.
  2. Place the chicken in the slow cooker.
  3. Pour the tomato mixture over the chicken and stir well to coat the chicken.
  4. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours or HIGH for 3 to 4 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
  5. Garnish with cilantro, if using. Serve hot.

Notes

This recipe makes 4-6 servings. You can easily double the recipe to make a larger batch for meal prep.
