  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 0.75 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips (or bars, cut into chunks), divided
  • 1 cup macadamia nuts, chopped

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat melted butter with sugars until well combined. Add eggs, one at a time, until well blended. Slowly add flour, baking soda, and salt.
  2. Fold in all but 0.5 cup of milk chocolate morsels and all the nuts.
  3. Drop by large tablespoon onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Press a few of the reserved chocolate chips on top. Bake in a 375 degree Fahrenheit oven for 10-12 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.

Notes

These cookies stay good for about one week when stored in an airtight container at room temperature.
