  • 2.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 sticks butter (softened)
  • 0.5 cup sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs eggs
  • 1 bag semisweet chocolate chips (12 oz.)
  • 1 package cream cheese (8 oz., softened)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 0.5 cup white chocolate chips (melted)
  • 0.5 cup Nutella

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  3. Sift together flour and baking soda in a small bowl.
  4. In a large bowl, beat softened butter, sugar, and light brown sugar until fluffy.
  5. Add salt, vanilla, and eggs; beat until combined.
  6. Gradually mix in flour mixture.
  7. Stir in chocolate chips.
  8. Drop rounded tablespoons onto prepared baking sheets, 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden around edges.
  10. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
  11. Prepare the filling by beating cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  12. Mix in melted white chocolate chips and Nutella until well combined.
  13. Refrigerate the filling for 10 minutes.
  14. Spread filling on flat side of half the cookies, then top with remaining cookies.
  15. Refrigerate for 20 minutes to set filling.
  16. Serve cookies at room temperature.
