  • 2.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 sticks butter, softened
  • 0.5 cup sugar
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs eggs
  • 1 bag semisweet chocolate chips
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 0.5 cup white chocolate chips, melted
  • 0.5 cup Nutella

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Line 3 baking sheets with parchment paper.
  3. Sift together flour and baking soda; set aside.
  4. In a large bowl, beat softened butter, sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Add salt, vanilla extract, and eggs; beat until well combined.
  6. Gradually add the flour mixture; mix until combined.
  7. Stir in chocolate chips.
  8. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls onto prepared baking sheets, 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until golden around edges.
  10. Remove cookies; cool for 2 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
  11. Make the Nutella cream filling: beat softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until creamy.
  12. Mix in melted white chocolate chips and Nutella until smooth.
  13. Refrigerate filling for 10 minutes.
  14. Spread filling on flat side of half of the cookies, top with remaining cookies, and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  15. Serve at room temperature.
